History
JumpStart Wireless was founded in 2000 by Dr. Jeffrey Bonar, who earned his PhD in Artificial Intelligence. As an experienced entrepreneur, he recognized the market opportunity inherent in delivering mass-market wireless business software – a productivity breakthrough for an increasingly mobile and dispersed work force. Bonar assembled a veteran management team that draws on professional experience at Verizon, IBM, American Express, and Overture as well as start-up companies. The JumpStart product was released to the market in the summer of 2003 and now serves 30 customers and over 3000 users. The company has developed channel partnerships with Sage Software, Primavera, SAP, Nextel, Verizon Wireless, IBM, RIM, Motorola, and Intuit.
