Dr. Jeffrey Bonar
, Founder, Chairman and CEO, has spent his entire career commercializing advanced software. He combines strong business sense, visionary leadership, deep understanding of technology, and passionate commitment to results. JumpStart Wireless Corporation is the third startup he has founded. Earlier companies delivered software and services to customers like Sun Microsystems, American Airlines, United Parcel Service, MCI, Blue Cross of PA, Baxter Healthcare, NYNEX, and Canada Trust. At IBM he led the team delivering IBM’s first commercial version of industry standard middleware technology. As VP of Development for Ultimate Software he delivered the first enterprise quality and Internet products in 2 major new releases of the product, including the first Internet products providing employee self-service.

David Lanes , CFO has extensive experience in creating and developing financial infrastructure in early stage organizations as well as raising capital through both private and public market offerings. He worked at Oxford Health Plans where he held a number of positions as the Company went from start-up through public offering and ultimately to Fortune 300 status.

Bruce Doub, VP of Enterprise Sales, responsible for delivering strategic sales and support for Jumpstart’s largest enterprise customers.  Previously, Doub held positions of increasing responsibilities in sales and sales management with MCI, now part of Verizon Business.  He is credited with numerous successes delivering an integrated suite of global voice, data, IP services and managed and outsourced offerings helping business customers transform their enterprise operations worldwide. Doub’s experience also has included the development and management of supplier and partner relationships to deliver comprehensive solutions to enterprise customers.

 

Jim Moore , SVP Sales, brings 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and operations. Extensive experience and contacts in the telecom industry, including Verizon, AMS, GTE and IBM. Experienced at setting up reseller and channel marketing programs. Moore has worked with startups and large companies, with particular depth in new product introduction and building sales and marketing organizations.

Bruce Applegate Director of Deployments, with over 25 years in the Telecom industry Bruce brings a wealth of experience to Jumpstart.  Over his career he has held positions in Project Management, Customer Service Management and Sales. He has worked with companies that provide Software and Support Systems to Communication Providers and  Fortune 500 companies World Wide.

Adrian Pekarek , Director of Development, brings extensive experience both as a technical manager and senior software architect. He has worked in the field of Information Technology for the past 10 years. He has managed offices in both the United States and Argentina, creating a broad range of applications. At JumpStart his team has built one of the most sophisticated wireless applications in use by businesses today.

 

Board of Directors

Ed Bohlke is founder of Empathic Development, Inc. an international consulting firm. Empathic focuses on the development and expansion of newly formed and later stage companies in the high tech and alternative energy sectors. Clients have included the New York Stock Exchange, Credit Suisse First Boston, Rockwell International and NationsBank. Bohlke has held positions including Managing Director and COO at several large Wall Street consulting firms.

Anthony B. Cashen,retired Managing Partner of Lamalie Associates, an international executive search and consulting firm, was previously a partner at the investment banking firms of Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette and AG Becker and Company. He previously served as a Director of ImmuCell Corporation, Taconic Telephone Corporation. and the Williams Controls Corporation. He is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an MBA degree from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Ed Engler is CEO of Summa Technologies and Summa VentureWorks. Summa brings innovative solutions to business problems using advanced technology to large enterprises and early stage start-ups. Summa has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Pittsburgh over several years. He has been involved in the funding, direction or management of eight start-ups and serves on the boards of 5 early-stage companies.

Bob Greenberg has been involved in software design, development and consulting for over 30 years.  His career includes being a integral part of the original Microsoft team, a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University , a cofounder of The Institute for Artificial Intelligence and UniForum, and Chairman and CEO of Clubware.  He is currently managing partner of a Florida financial and venture partnership.

Mark Kamin is the President of Mark Kamin & Associates, Inc., a management firm specializing in the transformation of corporate cultures through effective communication. The firm has major U.S. corporations as clients, and also operates in Israel. Mr. Kamin has an extensive and successful background within human resource management and development. He has given seminars and courses for over 100 corporations. Since launching Mark Kamin & Associates in 1983, he has recruited a team including some of the world's most experienced consultants. Collectively, he and his team have led workshops and seminars for over 200,000 people.

George Martinez, Chief Executive Officer, Allegiance Bank Texas; Senior Partner, Chrysalis Partners, LLC. George Martinez has been active in commercial banking for over 30 years.  His experience includes being co-founder and chief executive officer of a multi-billion dollar publicly traded financial institution.  He is currently CEO of Allegiance Bank Texas, a community bank in Houston.  Mr. Martinez also serves as senior partner of Chrysalis Partners, LLC, a performance consulting firm specializing in leadership development, executive coaching and employee training.  He serves on various public and private company boards as well as several non-profit organization boards. 

John Olmstead is the principal of Olmstead & Company, Inc., a consulting firm active in advising investors and entrepreneurs, including technology, Internet and wireless businesses. John is experienced in finance, investments and law. Previously John was managing director of a private capital group. Prior to that, John was an executive with Citicorp Investment Bank and Citibank.

 

Advisory Board

Dennis W. Walsh, most recently served as CTO of GM and OnStar Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors.  At GM, Mr. Walsh led the information technology "CenterofExcellencewhich was responsible for all major IT initiatives including computer and network operations, architecture, e-commerce, and security. Mr. Walsh also serves as an advisory board member for Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Compaq Computers, IBM, and Lotus and is a former advisory board member at Microsoft, AT&T, and Dell Computers.

Ronald G. Smith, is a Senior Risk Member of Citibank's global e-Business franchise.  A 32 year veteran of Citigroup, he has held a number of senior line and staff positions in the firm's corporate, investment, commercial and private banking businesses.  He brings extensive U.S. and Asian corporate banking experience and in-depth understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, project finance, institutional recovery management, real estate and country debt rescheduling.

Green Cay Asset Management
Founded in 1997 by Jane Siebels, former partner with John Templeton,Green Cay manages more than $230 million in three hedge funds: emerging markets, technology and an American relative-value fund. The funds are managed by Siebels and a team of six portfolio managers and analysts. Green Cay is recognized for its socially responsible investing as well as its performance which has been up 30% since 1999 versus a substantial decline in the NASDAQ.
