Customization
Jumpstart Wireless delivers a solution customized to each customer’s
needs. Using BusinessSuite’s proprietary Forms Definition Tool, JumpStart’s
customer support team creates tailored electronic forms to meet customer
requirements. This process provides not only form customization, but also
customization of the field worker’s work flow, communications to and
from the device, and integration with existing software systems.
JumpStart’s
team brings extensive expertise in making wireless business applications easy-to-use
while still delivering the ROI benefits. We work with customers to adapt
existing screen and paper based applications to the constraints of the wireless
world.
JumpStart has delivered wireless versions of everything from the simplest
to the most complex and specialized forms.
Subscription Service vs. Enterprise License
BusinessSuite is generally offered on a subscription basis to its customers,
providing a low cost, secure and hassle free solution to customers who want
to minimize IT costs. The server integrates with the customers’ key
operating systems such as accounting and financial reporting. BusinessSuite
is also available on an enterprise basis for larger customers.
Forms Definition
Working together with the customer, JumpStart studies their existing screens
and paper forms. How does data flow from the office to the field and back?
What text entry can be reduced to pick-lists? How can complex choices be
captured as a simple sequence of questions, streamlining use by field staff?
BusinessSuite
applications require no custom programming, leveraging 20+ person-years of
software engineering effort built into its platform. Wireless forms are
automatically generated. JumpStart’s approach vastly
simplifies normal development cycles and management concerns.
Back End Integration
Setting up the exchange of wireless data between existing software and
BusinessSuite is easy. Data can be imported and exported between BusinessSuite
and many popular business applications and formats including SQL, Excel,
.NET, XML, web services, Quickbooks and many specialized ERP and dispatch
management applications.
With JS Connect the time it takes for integration is vastly decreased from what
normally can take many months to integrate into existing systems.
Staff Training
JumpStart’s team is committed to a smooth and successful rollout
for customers. JumpStart provides extensive support in the development, deployment
and on-going customer operation of BusinessSuite. An initial implementation
team manages form development, form testing, device setup, and complete solution
testing. Additionally this team provides training and roll out support. Training
is made easier because customers can use familiar devices such as cell phones.
A good indication of the “ease of use” is the minimum amount
of time required to train users. For most of our customers user training
takes less than 30 minutes.
Management Console
The BusinessSuite Management Console is the central “dashboard” for
the central office to manage operations in the field. It allows managers
and supervisors to track employees in the field, send updated information
such as work orders to mobile employees, update the software on the users’ handhelds,
and administer central functions such as security. It also provides a rich
selection of production reports and tracking.
The Management Console can be run from any web browser on any computer, even from multiple locations simultaneously.
